Ethics of Scientific Publications Journal of Natural Product Chemistry (JNPC)

Journal of Natural Product Chemistry is one of the journals managed by the Pharmacy Departmen, STIKes Adila Bandar Lampung, which was first published in January 2025. JNPC is a scientific journal published online and printed, also publishes research articles or scientific papers in the field of natural medicine.

This scientific code of ethics statement is a code of ethics statement for all parties involved in the process of publishing this scientific journal, namely managers, editors, reviewer and authors. The Code of Ethics for Scientific Publication essentially upholds three ethical values in publication, namely (i) Neutrality, which is free from conflicts of interest in the management of publications, (ii) Equity, namely giving authorship to those entitled as authors, and (iii) Honesty, that is free from duplication, fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism in publications.

Publisher's Responsibilities

  1. Journalist of JNPC is responsible for publishing manuscripts after going through the process of editing, reviewing, and laying out according to the rules of publishing scientific journals.

  2. JNPC Publisher is responsible for ensuring academic freedom for editors and reviewer in carrying out their respective duties.

  3. JNPC Publisher is responsible for maintaining privacy and protecting intellectual property and copyright, as well as editorial freedom.

Editor's Responsibilities

  1. JNPC Publisher is responsible for deciding which texts are worthy of publication through editorial board meetings, referring to the applicable legal requirements regarding defamation, copyright infringement, duplication, data fabrication, data falsification and plagiarism.

  2. In the process of reviewing and receiving the manuscript, the editorial team of JNPC based on the similarity of treatment in making decisions to publish the manuscript by not distinguishing the race, sex, religion, ethnicity, nationality, or political ideology of the author.

  3. The editor and editorial team of the JNPC will not disclose any information about the manuscripts or manuscripts entered except with the author's permission.

  4. Unpublished manuscripts will not be used by research editors of JNPC for their own interests and will be returned directly to the author.

Reviewer's Responsibility

Reviewer of JNPC helps editors in making editorial decisions on incoming manuscripts

  1. Reviewer of JNPC is responsible for the recommendations of the manuscripts it reviews. 

  2. The study of the manuscript is done objectively and is supported by clear arguments. 

  3. Reviewer of JNPC is responsible for citation, reference, duplication, fabrication of data, falsification of data and plagiarism of the texts it reviews. 

  4. Reviewer of JNPC must always maintain the confidentiality of information and not use information from the manuscript that it reviews for personal gain / interest.

Author's Responsibilities

  1. The author must present the text of his thoughts or research clearly, honestly and without duplication, data fabrication, data falsification and plagiarism. 

  2. The author is responsible for the confirmation submitted for the written text. Writing must show references from the opinions and works of others quoted. 

  3. Authors must write the script ethically, honestly and responsibly in accordance with the applicable writing rules. 

  4. The author does not object if the text is edited in the process of review and layout without changing the substance or main idea of the writing.
